Our comments are as follows. I have also revised the <br />Addendum to Permit to reflect these comments and a copy is enclosed. <br />1. The first and third paragraphs of your fax appear to impose requirements <br />on Jack's which are over and above those included in the City Council motion extending Jack's <br />permit. The motion approved renewal of Jack's permit subject only to additional terms regarding <br />"AB 939 indemnification and reporting." Neither of these items appears to fall within this <br />category, and both of them impose significant burdens on Jack's, particularly given the relatively <br />small number of accounts in Colton which are serviced by Jack's. <br />2. lack's will agree to the provisions of the second paragraph, provided that <br />the compliance bond amount is reduced to $30,000. <br />3. With respect to the fourth paragraph, we have added language to <br />paragraphs A-III(a) and A -IIIb) that we hope will address your concern. <br />On a related topic, I spoke with Sonia Carvalho and she tells me that it ought to be <br />possible to get this matter resolved at the September l Council meeting, as required by the City <br />LA1992380054 <br />
