Community care <br />facilities: operations. <br />Existing law, the California Community Care Facilities Act, <br />provides for the licensure and regulation of community, care <br />facilities by the State Department of Social Services. Existing <br />law makes a violation of the act, or the willful or repeated <br />violation of rules or regulations adopted under the act, a <br />misdemeanor. <br />This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to <br />develop policies and programs designed to ensure that <br />facilities providing community care are operated in a manner <br />that preserves the health, and safety <br />of the residents of the neighborhoods and communities in <br />which they are located. _ <br />vides <br />98 <br />
