Tim R Wilson P E A LA., Colton City En ineer's Qff: e <br />SUBJECT: _ Randall Ave Storm Dtain Status Report <br />The Randall Ave. Storm Drain construction documents were completed and was released <br />for bid on June 24th 1999, The pre-bid conference will be held on 1My 1271999 at 2:00 <br />15M. The bid opening will be held July 19 at 2:00 F.M. A recommendation to the City to <br />contract with the lowest qualified bidder will be made by July 22. 1T 999, The City will act <br />to accept the lowest bid at the next available Council Meeting after July 22nd. Some <br />important milestones are as follows: � gt> I' <br />1. The County of San Bernardino has agreed to construct the Randall Ave. Storm Drain <br />project outflow, which is on their property, with their detention basin project. This <br />project has been delayed due to the Delhi fly habitat issue but is expected to be resolved <br />with Fish and Wildlife soon.-----, <br />2. The Randall Ave. Storm Drain will not be allowed to outflow into Randall basin until <br />the detention basin is enlarged. There off' re; Me County Work is necessary for the new <br />Storm Drain to function. <br />3. The County is absorbing the cost of the detention basin enlargement and fly mitigatio <br />costs. However, the Randall Ave. Storm Drain outflow work and the County <br />administration of that work will be financially separated from the Detention Basin e <br />Project since it is part of the original scope of the Randall Ave. Storm Drain. <br />4. The City of San Bernardino is contributing S32AMfor work performed in their City <br />and arrangements are being made by the City of Colton City Manager's office to obtain <br />a joint powers authority for this money. <br />The project start is expected around August 25th.
