Your utility's Web site provides the opportunity to <br />communicate and interact with customers as never before. Using examples <br />drawn from the public power industry, you will learn how to structure your <br />Web site to serve residential, commercial and industrial customers more <br />efficiently and to build a positive on-line image. This seminar will help you determine if a new service is finan- <br />cially feasible, and teach you what tools are available to assess the risks and <br />rewards of a new venture. It will address issues such as pricing the new service, <br />determining which costs are relevant and irrelevant to the decision, and <br />leveraging your current infrastructure. Additionally, the seminar will discuss <br />management issues, including how the financial feasibility study is used in the <br />business plan, and how to assess competitors' strengths and weaknesses. <br />Attendees will work in groups to determine the feasibility of a project.
