BOX 808
SACRAMENTO, CA 95812-0808
(916) 322-0349
.T%O a 1995
Mr. Jon Bennett
Filter Recycling Services, Inc.
P.O. Box 449
Colton, California 92324-0149
Dear Mr. Bennett:
PETE WILSON, Governor
This letter serves as an addendum to your facilityfs current
grant of Standardized Permit Interim Status issued pursuant to
Health and Safety Code (HSC) sections 25200.5, 25200.9, and
25201.6.
As you know, that status was amended by a June 5, 1995
letter. The current grant of Standardized Permit Interim Status
is in effect either until the date the Department of Toxic
Substances Control (DTSC) issues a final permit decision or until
October 1, 1995, whichever is earlier.
With the passage of Senate Bill 1291 (Wright), HSC section
25201.6(f) is amended to read:
. Interim status granted to any facility pursuant
to this section and Sections 25200.5 and 25200.9 shall
terminate upon a final permit determination or
January 1, 1998, whichever date is earlier. This
paragraph shall apply retroactively to facilities for
which a final permit determination is made on or after
September 30, 1995.
The grant of Standardized Permit Interim Status for your
facility, located at 160 West Monte Avenue, Rialto, California
92316, EPA ID number CAD 982 444 481, will therefore remain in
effect until January 1, 1998, or until DTSC makes a final
determination on your Standardized Permit application, whichever
date is earlier.
While under Standardized Permit Interim Status, your
facility shall be operated in compliance with Title 22,
California Code of Regulations, Division 4.51 Chapter 45, section
67800.1, and the facility's authorization is limited to the
activities specifically described in the facility notification
submitted on or before October 1, 1993 or to any further
activities authorized by DTSC pursuant to an interim status
modification. Issuance of this addendum does not preclude DTSC
from taking any authorized enforcement action for failure to
comply with any applicable requirements.
