I RESOLUTION NO. R -o7-99 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON IN <br />SUPPORT OF AND RELEASING THEIR GRANT AWARD AS PART OF THE <br />4 REGIONAL JUVENILE CRIME ENFORCEMENT COALITION. <br />5 <br />6 WHEREAS, The City of Colton declines to directly accept funds made available <br />7 through the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) Program <br />8 administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (Hereafter referred to as <br />9 OCJP). <br />10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Colton waives its <br />11 <br />12 right to its entire direct subgrant award and authorizes the funds to be expended by the <br />13 County of San Bernardino for the mutual benefit of both units of government. <br />14 It is agreed that any liability arising out of the performance of this grant award <br />15 <br />16 agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the <br />17 grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim <br />18 responsibility for any such liability. <br />19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant funds received hereunder shall not <br />20 <br />21 be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br />22 I hereby certify that the forgoing is a true copy of the resolution by the City <br />23 Council of the City of Colton in a meeting held on January 19, 1999. <br />24 <br />25 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this day of January, 1999. <br />26 <br />27 _ <br />28 ATTEST:: Karl E.
