CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 6, 1999 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVED: HENRY GARCIA, CITY MANAGE <br />FROM: JOHN C. HUTTON, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />SUBJECT: ADOPTING RESOLUTIONS AMENDING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2119, TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL STOP <br />INTERSECTIONS <br />DATE: JUNE 17, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND: The intersection of Colton Avenue and "E" Street, and the <br />intersections of 7th Street and "F" Street are controlled by stop signs on the east <br />and west approaches only. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Based upon citizen complaints, the Traffic Safety <br />Committee recommends that both of the above intersections be four-way stop <br />intersections. <br />ALTERNATIVES: N/A <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Cost for signs only are approximately $300 for both <br />intersections. (Account No. 100-6150-6160-2301) <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: NONE <br />RECOMMENDATION: If Council concurs, staff would recommend adoption of <br />the attached Resolution R - 57 - 99 and Resolution R - 58 -99, <br />amending Resolution No. 2119, to include additional stop intersections for both <br />Colton Ave. at "E" Street and 7" Street at "I"' Street. <br />Item # 18 <br />
