CITY OF COLTON <br />DEEINITIQ <br />Under general supervision, assists in a variety of recreational activities at a community center, park, <br />playground, or recreational area. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />Assist in the provision of recreational activities at a park, community center, or recreation area. <br />Assist with activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games and special events. <br />Handle scorekeeping and field maintenance. <br />hispect facility for safety. <br />Perform related duties as required. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Knowledge of - <br />Recreational programming for various age groups, recordkeeping and statistical <br />compilation. <br />Abift : <br />Work effectively with the public, participate and assist in a variety of recreational activities <br />including outdoor and indoor games and arts and crafts. <br />Perform light park maintenance. <br />Follow written and oral instructions. <br />E=erience and Education: <br />Any combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge <br />and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to acquire the knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experienc : <br />Participation in a variety of recreational activities and services or volunteer work <br />with youth, disabled or seniors. <br />Education: <br />Must be 14 years of age and possess sufficient knowledge to organize and conduct a <br />recreational activity. <br />Approved by Council: July 5, 1995 <br />
