EXHIBITA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RE.- Resolution of Consideration To Alter Rate and Method of Apportionment of Special Taxes CITY OF COLTON Community Facilities District No. 90-1 (Mount Vernon Corridor) Notice is hereby given that on January 19, 1999, the City Council (the -Councir) of the City of Colton (the "City") adopted its Resolution of Consideration To Alter Rate and Method of Apportionment of Special Taxes (the "Resolution of ConsideratiorC) with respect to its Community Facilities District No. 90-1 (Mount Vernon Corridor) (the -CFD") under the Mello -Roos Community Facilities Act of 198Z as amended (the "Act"). Under the Act and the Resolution of Consideration, the Council gives notice as follows: 1. The text of the Resolution of Consideration, with the Exhibit A thereto, as adopted by the Council, is on file with City Clerk and reference is made thereto for the particular provisions thereof. The text of the Resolution of Consideration is summarized as follows: a. . As permitted by the Act, the Council has undertaken proceedings and has established the CFD, which is known as "City of Colton, Community Facilities District No. 90-1 (Mount Vernon Corridor)," the boundaries of which are shown on the map thereof filed in Book 161 of Maps of Assessment and Community Facilities Districts at Pages 21 and 2Z in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardmo, State of California. b. rfhe Council has proposed to consider the alteration of the Rate and Method of Apportionment of Special Tax (the "'Rate and Method") among the parcels of real property within the CFD, to read as more fully described in the Resolution of Consideration and Exhibit A thereto. C. The Council has determined that such proposed alteration will not interfere with the tim ely retirement of any debt incurred with respect to the CFD. d. As set forth below, the Council will hold a public hearing on said alteration of the Rate and Method. 2. The time and place established under the Resolution of Consideration for the public hearing required under the Act are Tuesday, March Z 1999 at the hour of 6:00 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter, in the City Council Chambers, 650 N. La Cade-na. Drive, Colton, California 92324. 3. At the heann& the testimony of all interested persons or taxpayers for or against the proposed alteration of the Rate and Method will be heard. Any per -son interested may file a protest in writing as provided in Section 53336 of the Act. If fifty percent or more of the registered voters, or six registered voters, whichever is more, residing within the CFD, or the owners of one-half or more of the area of land in the territory included in the CFD and not exempt from the special tax, file written Protests against the proposed alteration of the Rate and Method, such alteration shall not be included in a resolution for a period of one year from the date of the decision of this Council on the hearing. 4.
