I ORDINANCE NO. 0-02-99 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA AMENDING 3 MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 15.40.030 AND 15.40.080 4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 5 COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 15 40.030 is hereby amended to read as follows: 6 15.40.030 Definitions. 7 "Preservation officer" is the City Manager who will appoint a staff liaison to the Historic Preservation Commission. 8 The staff liaison will coordinate Colton's historic preservation programs. The staff liaison may, from time to time, 9 delegate duties as authorized by the City Manager. At no time will the staff liaison be an employee of the 10 Community Development Department. 11 All other terms and definitions shall remain the same without change within this Section. 12 COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 15.40.080 is hereby amended to read as follows: 13 15.40.080 Nomination and designation program for historic resources. 14 The commission shall undertake to establish and maintain alist of nominated resources that have been identified 15 in a preliminary survey. An individual who presents documentation equal to that collected in the preliminary 16 survey may request that a resource be placed on the list. This list may include single structures or sites, portions 17 of structures, urban design features, man-made or natural landscape elements, or works of art that are fifty (50) 18 years old or older. 19 A nominated resource may be designated a landmark or a historic property and a district may be designated a 20 historic and/or scenic or urban conservation district by the Historic Preservation Commission. 21 All other terms and definitions shall remain the same without change within this Section. 22 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this day of 1999. 23 24 KARL E.
