I ORDINANCE NO. 0-02-99 <br />2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA AMENDING <br />3 MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 15.40.030 AND 15.40.080 <br />4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />5 COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 15 40.030 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />6 15.40.030 Definitions. <br />7 "Preservation officer" is the City Manager who will appoint a staff liaison to the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />8 The staff liaison will coordinate Colton's historic preservation programs. The staff liaison may, from time to time, <br />9 delegate duties as authorized by the City Manager. At no time will the staff liaison be an employee of the <br />10 Community Development Department. <br />11 All other terms and definitions shall remain the same without change within this Section. <br />12 COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 15.40.080 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />13 15.40.080 Nomination and designation program for historic resources. <br />14 The commission shall undertake to establish and maintain alist of nominated resources that have been identified <br />15 in a preliminary survey. An individual who presents documentation equal to that collected in the preliminary <br />16 survey may request that a resource be placed on the list. This list may include single structures or sites, portions <br />17 of structures, urban design features, man-made or natural landscape elements, or works of art that are fifty (50) <br />18 years old or older. <br />19 A nominated resource may be designated a landmark or a historic property and a district may be designated a <br />20 historic and/or scenic or urban conservation district by the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />21 All other terms and definitions shall remain the same without change within this Section. <br />22 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this day of 1999. <br />23 <br />24 KARL E.
