R-22-99 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />ADOPTING THE FIVE YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />AND TWENTY YEAR TRANSPORTATION PLAN <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, as <br />follows: <br />WHEREAS, San Semardino County voters approved passage of Measure I in November, 1989, <br />authorizing San Bemardino Associated Govemments, acting as the San Bemardino County <br />Transportation Authority, to impose a one-half of one percent retail transaction and use tax applicable in <br />the incorporated and unincorporated territory of the County of San Bernardino and <br />WHEREAS, revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation improvement and traffic <br />management programs authorized in the Expenditure Plans set for the Ordinance No. 89-1 of the <br />Authority, and <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance require each local jurisdiction receiving revenue <br />from the tax to expend those funds pursuant to Five Year Capital Improvement Program and a Twenty <br />Year Transportation Plan adopted by Resolution of the local jurisdiction, and <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance also require that each local jurisdiction annually <br />adopt and update the Five and Twenty Year Plans, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton, State of Califomia, hereby adopts <br />the Measure I Five Year Capital Improvement Program and the Twenty Year Transportation Plan, as <br />shown on Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" respectively. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, this 2nd day of March, 1999 <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA, P.
