CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of March 16,1999 <br />To: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />Approval: Henry Garcia, City Manage <br />From: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director <br />M)A- <br />Alan Denfeld, Recreation Services Manager <br />Subject: Use of Fleming Park & Bandshell by Joy Hoard <br />on May 15,1999 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. <br />Date: March 2,1999 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This is a private -party wedding to be held on Saturday, May 15, 1999, using the <br />Bandshell for the wedding ceremony. The bandshell is a beautiful setting and background <br />for a wedding, the wedding will take place at the park, and the reception will be held <br />elsewhere. Staff has stipulated that instead of rice, the party use birdseed to "throw" at <br />the couple as they return down the aisle. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Since the park is maintained by Public Works, there will be no impact on staff hours. <br />CUSTOMER SERVICE IMPACT: <br />As a beautiful setting, Fleming Park will be associated with fond memories for many <br />years to come, by the married couple as well as their families and friends.
