R- 39 -99 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AN DELEGATING <br />AUTHORITY TO THE UTILITY DIRECTOR TO ORDER ACTIONS <br />REQUIRED TO REPAIR SEWER LINES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS <br />WHEREAS, Section 22050 of the State Public Contract Code <br />governs emergency contracting procedures applicable to the City of Colton. <br />WHEREAS, the Colton City Council finds emergency conditions <br />existed on Rancho Avenue and 3rd Street; Olive Street; "C" and <br />Pennsylvania; La Cadena Drive and "F" Street and Rancho Avenue at the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant which required immediate work to repair sewer <br />line leaks; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />resolves as follows: <br />1. Thomas K. Clarke, Utility Director, is delegated the authority <br />to order materials and labor to repair the sewer lines, <br />authorized by Section 22050 of the Public Contract Code <br />to respond to the emergencies. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of May, 1999. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA BARRERA <br />City Clerk <br />KARL E.
