Page 2 <br />Center Street <br />For City Council Meeting on October 19, 1999 <br />• Riverside Avenue lift station 900,000 <br />• New 12" gravity sewer line from Lake Cadena area 435,000 <br />• New 12" force main to La Cadena 914,000 <br />• Construction engineering and design 545,100 <br />Total project cost <br />$4,169,100 <br />In addition to the infrastructure for the services of the utilities, there will be the cost of the northern half of <br />Center Street. It is estimated that this will add approximately $60,000 to the total cost of the project. Of <br />that $60,000, approximately $25,000 will be for engineering services related to the street project. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />All funding for this project is included in either the Water Improvement Revenue Bonds or the Sewer <br />capital improvement and connection fees. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There are no environmental impediments that would prohibit the completion of this project. <br />That the City Council approves the development plan with G. W. Singletary for the extension of Center <br />Street. Further, because of substantial savings due to previously contracted work on the water and <br />wastewater systems, that the Council waive the formal bidding procedure to engage the engineering <br />services of Krieger and Stewart for the engineering and design of the water and wastewater infrastructure <br />required to provide services to Southwest Annexation 44. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
