GARCIA, CITY MANAGE <br />FROM: AL HOLLIMAN, FINANCE DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXAMINATION OF SALES AND USE <br />TAX RECORDS <br />DATE: APRIL 10, 2000 <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the February 29, 2000 mid -year budget review meeting, the City Council authorized <br />a change in sales tax consulting firms and approved an agreement with Hinderliter, <br />DeLlamas and Associates (HdL). An approved City Council resolution is required by <br />the State Board of Equalization to enable HdL to obtain and view the City's sales tax <br />data. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS <br />Approval of the attached resolution is a routine administrative matter but is essential for <br />HdL to perform its duties which benefit the City. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution authorizing the examination of <br />sales and use tax records. <br />Item #4 <br />
