WASTEWATER EQUIPMENT MECHANIC I/II CITY OF COLTON <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />The maintenance, care, adjustments and repair of motors, engines, pumps, and other <br />equipment. <br />Applicable safety procedures and regulations. <br />Proper handling and processing procedures associated with wastewater distribution as <br />well as State, Federal, County and City regulations. <br />Ability to: <br />Perform maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment facilities machinery; operate <br />heavy equipment, detect malfunctions and take proper corrective action. <br />Read and work from blueprints, maps, drawings, sketches, specifications and other <br />technical documents. <br />Perform lead worker duties as needed. <br />Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. <br />Maintain accurate records. <br />Make arithmetical calculations as needed. <br />Skill to: <br />Operate backhoes, loaders and vactor trucks. <br />APPROVED BY COUNCIL: February 17, 1998 <br />
