Page No. 39 <br />b. Undercharges shall not be recomputed and billed to accounts for a <br />period in 'excess of one year prior to the discovery of an error. <br />B. Meter Tests <br />1. Whenever the accuracy of an electric meter is questioned, the Customer <br />may demand that the meter be examined and tested by the Utility.. Such <br />demand shall be accompanied by a deposit as provided for in Policy No. <br />. 25., "Customer Service Fees". Upon receipt of such demand and <br />deposit, the Utility shall cause the meter to be examined and tested. <br />Customers are encouraged to witness such tests, or to have their <br />representative present at such tests. <br />a. Fast Meters - If the meter is found to register over 29 fast, the <br />deposit will be refunded, and the Customer's account will be <br />credited in the amount of the overcharge for the period the meter <br />was in use, but not 'exceeding six months. <br />b. Slow Meters - If the meter is found to register over 29 slow, the <br />deposit will be refunded, and the Utility will render a bill to <br />the Customer for electricity consumed but not billed for a period <br />not exceeding six months.. <br />C. Accurate Meters - If the meter is found to register within an <br />accuracy of plus or minus 26, the deposit will be retained by the <br />Utility, and no charge or credit will be made to the Customer's <br />account. <br />d. .When 'upon test, any 'meter is found.to'be non -registering,. the <br />Utility may bill the Customer for the estimated usage of electric <br />consumption. The estimated usage shall be based on historic <br />consumption or other methods from the time the meter is deemed <br />non -registering. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Thomas K.
