GARCIA, CITY MANAGE <br />FROM: AL HOLLIMAN, FINANCE DIRECTO <br />SUBJECT: AWARD OF BID FOR ANIMAL CONTROL TRUCK TO ROTOLO CHEVROLET IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $31,760.70 <br />DATE: JANUARY 24, 2000 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council approved a new animal control truck for the Police Department in the FY 99-00 fiscal <br />year budget. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS <br />On January 11, 2000, Purchasing solicited sealed bids for this vehicle. The bid opening was held at 2:30 <br />p.m., January 24, 2000, in the Corporate Yard conference room. Four bids were received and <br />evaluated. Attached is a Bid Analysis listing the price and delivery quoted by each vendor. The <br />recommended vendor's price is underlined for your review. The recommendation is based on the lowest <br />price that meets or exceeds the City's specifications. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />Council appropriated the funds in the FY 99-00 budget in account number 722-6070-6074-4910. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends award of bid for this vehicle to Rotolo Chevrolet, Inc. in the amount of $31,760.70. <br />Report prepared by: Mary J.
