HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR,��# <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR RECRUITMENT AND RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE <br />APPOINTMENT IN THE FULL-TIME POSITION OF MAINTENANCE <br />WORKER 11 IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: DECEMBER 20,1999 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) Maintenance Worker 11 position that is currently vacant. <br />Attached is the job description for the classification: the salary range is $1,981 - $2,410 per <br />month. <br />DISCUSSIONIANALYSIS: This position became vacant when the former worker was promoted <br />to a Maintenance Worker III position in the Public Works Department Street Division. The <br />candidate being referred for Council ratification meets all the requirements as specified in the <br />job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year 1999 - 2000 <br />budget; funded as follows: Account No. 100-6150-6160-1010 (salary miscellaneous) and Account <br />No. 100-6150-6160-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />t�90- Hutton, Public Works Director <br />EXPECTED FILL DATE: March 6,2000 <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council ratify the employee appointment <br />to the full-time position of Maintenance Worker III in the Public Works Department, Street <br />Division. <br />Attachments: Job Description <br />Report prepared by Randy Rhwa, Assistant Public Works Director <br />item #4 <br />
