Hibbard, Attorney at Law <br />3666 University Avenue, Suite 407 <br />Riverside, CA 92501 <br />RE: Our Client: City of Colton <br />Your Client: Russ James, et al. <br />Date of Loss: August 9, 1999 <br />Dear Mr. Hibbard: <br />Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the claim you recently presented to the City <br />on behalf of your clients has been completed. <br />On August 9, 1999 at approximately 09:05 hours, the deceased, Dawn Russell, was involved in a <br />fatal traffic collision while driving northbound on La Cadena Drive south of Maryknoll Drive. <br />Ms. Russell caused the collision by being in violation of California Vehicle Code Section <br />21802(a), failure to yield right of way to oncoming traffic so close as to constitute a hazard.
