R-120-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY <br />MANAGEMENT DISTRICT FOR LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS <br />INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br />pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton desires to obtain additional grant funds for congestion <br />mitigation and transportation -related projects; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 19, 2001, the South Coast Air Quality Management District <br />("SCAQMD") issued a Call for Projects ("Call") for the South Coast Air Basin; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton desires to share in regional goals of cleaner air and <br />recognizes the value that clean air has in benefiting the health of Colton's citizens, attracting <br />businesses, and improving the quality of life in Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton desires to submit a grant application for the <br />development of LNG Refueling Stations on the Alternative 24-hour Public Access Fuel Site <br />("alternative fueling station"); and <br />WHEREAS, the application contains assurances with which the City of Colton as an <br />applicant must comply; and <br />WHEREAS, an alternative fueling station would be of benefit to the City and would <br />serve other both public and private users in the area; and <br />WHEREAS, the SCAQMD has provided an opportunity to enhance the use of <br />Colton's other grant funds by receiving funds from the Rule 1309.1 -Priority Reserve for <br />Funding Assistance for LNG Refueling Stations Program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />does hereby resolve, determine, and find as follows: <br />• That the City of Colton hereby authorizes City of Colton, City Manager, or his <br />designee, to apply for funds and, if recommended for funding, conduct all <br />
