Page 2 <br />The City's Recreation and Parks Commission has approved the conceptual design of <br />the entire project. (phases I and II). The plansand specifications have been <br />reviewed by DRC. Planning Commission approval is not required, The pians and <br />specifications are available for review in the office of the Director of Parks, <br />Recreation and Family Services. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The architect has estimated the coast of the entire project, (phases I and 11), to be <br />$430,000. Staff is recommending that Proposition 12, (Safe Neighborhood Parks, <br />Clean Water, Glean Air and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000), be used to fund <br />the project. The `City has been approved to receive $430,000 in Per Capita funds <br />under that Proposition. Should additional funds be required, it is recommended that <br />they be appropriated from the City's Park [Development fund <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />City Council approve the plans and specifications for the construction of new <br />restrooms and improved drainage for Elizabeth Davis Park, and authorize staff to <br />proceed with placing the project out to bid in two phases. <br />Attachment <br />
