Item #8 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF November 6, 2001 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Al Holliman, Assistant City Manager' <br />SUBJECT: Request Recruitment and Ratification of Employee Appointment to the Full <br />Time Position of Redevelopment Agency Director in the Redevelopment <br />Agency for the City of Colton <br />DATE: October 29, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Due to a very recent resignation, the Redevelopment Agency Director position is vacant. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Because of intense workloads, complex issues inherent in the Redevelopment Agency and overall <br />demands placed upon the Redevelopment Agency Director's position, it is imperative that the <br />Agency proceed with recruitment for a new director as quickly as possible. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: All funds have been previously approved with the 2001/2002 budget in <br />account number 886-9000-9000-1010 for salary and in account number 886-9000-9000-1100 for <br />salary related benefits <br />ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />That City Council approve the recruitment and ratification of the employee appointment to the full- <br />time position of Redevelopment Agency Director as recommended by the Assistant City Manager. <br />PREPARED BY: <br />Al Holliman, Assistant City Manager <br />Agrn RDA Dhx[a I IWI.d <br />
