Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Servs <br />SUBJECT: Approve Request for Recruitment and Ratification an Appointment <br />to the Full time Position of Recreation Services Supervisor <br />DATE: August 27, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On August 7, 2001, Council approved an additional Recreation Services Supervisor position for <br />the Fiscal Year 2001 — 2002. The salary range is $2336 - $2840. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Currently, the department has two budgeted supervisor positions. However, to provide for <br />additional recreational services, programs and supervision, a third supervisor is required. <br />Recruitment for this position would be conducted and an eligibility list established with Council <br />approval. The candidate chosen would meet the education and experience requirements as <br />specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Hiring for this position would be effective immediately. Funding would be provided through <br />Department Account # 100-6200-6202-1010 (salaries — miscellaneous) and Account #100-6200- <br />6202-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the recruitment, ratification and appointment of the full time <br />position of Recreation Services Supervisor in the Parks, Recreation and Family Services <br />Department. <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />Attorney: �Q i�z- Finance Director: ZIL 14 <br />Manager: Other: <br />
