CLARKE, UTILITIES DIRECTOR--(/ <br />SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF A SEWER LINE EASEMENT FROM DOMINGUEZ <br />PLAZA LOCATED AT 9TH AND 10TH STREETS, AND VALLEY BLVD. <br />AND'H' STREET <br />DATE: AUGUST 22, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />As part of the conditions of approval for the renovation of the Hampton Inn, which is <br />located in the Dominguez Plaza, between 9th and 10th Streets, and "H" Street and Valley <br />Blvd, a new sewer main needs to be installed. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />In order to service all of the businesses located in the Dominguez Plaza, the sewer main <br />must be installed in the parking lot. Therefore, in order for the City to maintain the <br />sewer main an easement from the property owners to the City is required. The City <br />Engineer has reviewed and approved the attached easement documents. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There is no cost to the City for the dedication of the easement, however, the <br />maintenance and repair costs will be borne by the Wastewater Utilities Maintenance and <br />Operations Account No. 522-8200-8200-2302. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Colton Utility Authority accept the sewer main easement for <br />Dominguez Plaza. <br />Report Prepared By: Lorraine June, CIP Coordinator <br />ua dominguezease 9-4-01 <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: <br />City Manager: <br />—7) <br />CU Finance Director: C'/ <br />OTHER: <br />
