1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />21i <br />27 <br />0 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-12-02 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER 5.44 OF THE COLTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO OUTDOOR FESTIVALS AND <br />SPECIAL EVENTS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allow festivals, <br />concerts, sporting events, parades, and other special events within the City limits in order to <br />promote civic and cultural pride and community involvement; and <br />WHEREAS, the use of City streets and other City -owned or controlled property, <br />including parks, by large groups causes wear and tear on the turf, park equipment, and facilities, <br />and requires City staff time to provide coordination; and <br />WHEREAS, such special events have a tendency of exposing neighboring <br />residents to excessive noise and traffic; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to ensure that such special events are <br />I conducted in a safe and orderly fashion to benefit all those who live in and visit the City of <br />Colton by requiring that such events follow uniform licensing procedures; and <br />WHEREAS, uniform procedures promote and protect the rights of those <br />organizing special events, those participating in them, and those living and working nearby; <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Title 5, Chapter 5.44 of the Colton Municipal Code is repealed in its <br />entirety and replaced with the following: <br />"CHAPTER 5.44: SPECIAL EVENTS AND PARK EVENTS <br />5.4.010 <br />Intent and Purpose. <br />5.44.020 <br />Definitions. <br />5.44.030 <br />Special Events Committee Established. <br />5.44.040 <br />Permit Required. <br />5.44.050 <br />Permit Application - Filing and Fee. <br />5.44.060 <br />Permit Application - Required Information. <br />5.44.070 <br />Permit Issuance or Denial. <br />5.44.080 <br />Permit Conditions. <br />5.4.090 <br />Business License Required. <br />5.44.100 <br />Medical Operations Permit Required. <br />5.44.110 <br />Air -Medical Operations Permit Required. <br />
