Item #16 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF August 6, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Ron Kenny — Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />SUBJECT: Reservation Request for Fleming Park— Calvary Chapel Colton <br />DATE: June 4, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Calvary Chapel Colton has submitted a facility reservation request for the use of Fleming <br />Park on Friday, August 16, 2002. This is a date change from their original application, which <br />was approved by Council at the June 18, 2002 meeting. Their listed intention for use is to <br />present a youth concert and a bible study. A copy of their facility use application, as well as a <br />supplemental letter from the organization has been provided. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Fleming Park presents a high-profile, centralized location to reach the community as a whole, <br />and the event has the potential to positively impact the community. The organization is based <br />in Cotton, and the estimated attendance for this event is approximately 140 people, including <br />50 adults, 50 teens, and 40 children under 13 years of age.
