CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 20, 2002
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER
Item #18
SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF PROPERTY FROM FHJ GENERAL
PARTNERSHIP PERSUANT TO PARKLAND EXCHANGE
AGREEMENT
DATE: AUGUST 5, 2002
FHJ General Partnership/ Cutting Edge Supply Company and the City of Colton
entered into an agreement in April of 2001. The purpose of that agreement is to
exchange properties in the vicinity of Veteran's Park. The exchange of property
required the reconfiguration of the existing lot lines.
ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION:
The adjustment of the lot line requires a signature by all affected property owners
acknowledging that they are aware of the modification to their property and
consenting to the preparation and recordation of the Lot Line Adjustment Document.
Prior to the recordation of the deed granting property to the City, it is necessary that
the property be accepted by the City Council. The Engineering Department has
reviewed the attached documents.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
This action does not have an environmental impact.
Staff recommends that Council accept the property from FHJ General Partnership
and authorize the recordation of the attached Grant Deed and authorize the Mayor of
the City of Colton to sign the attached Certificate of Compliance/Lot Line Adjustment
form consenting to the preparation and recordation thereof.
Attachments:
Parkland Exchange Agreement
Grant Deed from FHJ Partnership to the City of Colton
Certificate of Compliance form
Prepared by: Brian Baden, Engineering Tech II
\\Cfsrv01 \Engineering_Dept\AGENDA REPORTS\082002\brenner deed rpt.doc
