The project commenced on June 10, 2002 and was completed on November 12, 2002. The original <br />contract date ended on September 17, 2002 but due to Pole Modifications and Breakdown of <br />Controller during the testing, an extension of forty (40) working days was allowed as indicated on <br />Exhibit "A"- Change Order No. 2. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />The proposed public improvements are Exempt under Section 15301 of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br />FINANCIAL/FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Construction of the two (2) Traffic Signals at Reche Canyon was funded from past years Traffic <br />Congestion Relief Fund, Account Number 212-6800-6839-3890, for an amount of $182,182.00; an <br />additional of $96,970.00 from RDA Bonds was allocated for the Hunts Lane/Cooley Lane, Account <br />No. 457-9150-9155-3890. <br />Since there is no contingency funding for this project, Engineering Department is proposing to <br />allocate portion of this year's Traffic Congestion Relief Fund (Account No. 212-6800-6843-3890) <br />to cover the Change Order in the amount of $7,737.69. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />■ Staff respectfully recommends Final Acceptance of Three (3) Traffic Signal Project at <br />Reche Canyon Road/Shane Drive -Mobile Homes, Reche Canyon Road/Topanga and Hunts <br />Lane/Cooley Lane intersections in the amount of $286,889.69 and requests that the City <br />Council authorize finalizing a Notice of Completion for this project. <br />• Staff recommends that Council approve the execution and recordation of this document. <br />Attachment: Notice of Completion <br />Change Order 1 & 2 — Exhibit "A" <br />Report prepared by Victor Ortiz - Engineering Department <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: � .� Finance Director: <br />City Manager:JK OTHER: <br />
