I RESOLUTION NO. 'R-25-02 <br />2 <br />A RESOLU11ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 'OF <br />3 COLTON, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />4 FOR TAXI SERVICE <br />5 WHEREAS, Chapter 5.48 of the Colton Municipal Code contains regulations for the provision <br />6 of taxi service in the City of Colton; and <br />7 WHEREAS, Section 5.48.1 10(A), authorizes the City Council to adopt additional rules and <br />8 regulations for the provision of taxi service to supplement the requirements of Chapter 5.48; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to adopt such rules and regulations to provide additional <br />10 guidance to taxi operators, the Police Chief and other City staff and to promote the health, safety and <br />I I welfare of the public. <br />12 BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />13 <br />14 Section 1.
