Item #21 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the City Council Meeting of June 18, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and Council Members <br />FROM: Dilu DeAlwis, Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for One New Industrial Wheel Backhoe to Scott Equipment in the <br />Amount of $56,137.75 <br />DATE: June 10, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Streets Division of the Public Services Department has a requirement for a new industrial wheel <br />backhoe. The acquisition of this piece of equipment was identified and approved as part of the City's <br />Master Lease Purchase Program. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />On May 15, 2002, the Finance Department posted a Notice Inviting Bids for the purchase of one new <br />industrial wheel backhoe loader. Bid opening was held in the Corporate Yard Conference Room on <br />June 3, 2002, at 2:30 P.M. Three bids were received and evaluated. A fourth bid was received "non- <br />responsive" as it did not contain the required bid security. <br />A Bid Analysis is attached showing the prices quoted by each vendor.
