R-7102 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />EXPRESSING THE CITY'S COMMITMENT TO THE PURSUIT OF FEDERAL <br />FUNDING FOR THE CSDP 3-5 STORM DRAIN PROJECT AND THE <br />SOLICITATION OF SUPPORT FROM NEIGHBORING JURISDICTIONS TO <br />ASSIST THE CITY OF COLTON IN THIS ENDEAVOR. <br />WHEREAS, on October 26, 1988, the City Council of the City of Colton adopted <br />Ordinance No. 0-27-88 relating to the levy of storm drainage fees for Drainage Benefit <br />Area No. 1, which is comprised of the property in the west end of the City of Colton <br />within San Bernardino County Flood Control Study Zone 2; and <br />WHEREAS, in recognition of the immediate and significant need for new storm drainage <br />facilities to serve property within San Bernardino County Flood Control Study Zone 2, the San <br />Bernardino County Flood Control District, the City of San Bernardino, the City of Rialto, and 1 <br />City of Colton have agreed to participate in the funding of a storm drain improvement system <br />known as CSDP Project 3-5 (Project 3-5); and <br />WHEREAS, the storm drain improvements planned for Project 3-5 consist of a series of <br />contiguous storm drainage improvements at an approximate cost of $15,000,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the development fees collected pursuant to Ordinance No. 0-27-88 represent <br />the City of Colton's fair share of the cost of construction for the Project 3-5 storm drain <br />improvements; and <br />Page 1 <br />
