Bennett <br />Subject: Library Board Appointments <br />CITY COUNCIL Ml' EFI NG UrMAY /, LUUL <br />As a follow-up to the April 23, 2002, Colton Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting, <br />two Board positions were re -appointed to serve the term ending June 30, 2005 and a new <br />appointment to serve the term ending June 30, 2004. At this meeting, the Board <br />graciously acknowledged the resignation of Former Trustee Betty Bunker and declared a <br />vacancy due to the recent passing of Former Trustee Hilda Garcia, as follows: <br />Library Board Trustee <br />Effective <br />Term Ending <br />Maude Rose <br />July 1, 2002 <br />June 30, 2005 <br />Bill Mattox <br />July 1, 2002 <br />June 30, 2005 <br />Donald Hines <br />April 23, 2002 <br />June 30, 2004 <br />Vacant position <br />June 30, 2003 <br />Each of the Trustees expressed their desire to serve our community in this capacity and <br />the Library Board highly recommends each Trustee as and excellent choice. <br />Accordingly, I hereby acknowledge the appointment of Trustees Maude Rose, Bill <br />Mattox, and Donald Hines and also declare a vacancy on the Library Board. <br />I respectfully request for the Council's consideration and consensus on confirming these <br />appointments. <br />DHB:adf <br />cc: City Clerk Carolina Barrera <br />City Librarian David M.
