Item #13 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 21,2002 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER �9 <br />SUBJECT: ACCEPT AND APPROVE GRANT DEED FOR STREET <br />DEDICATION PURPOSES AT STEEL ROAD AND HUNTS LANE <br />FROM McDONALD'S TACO TIA WAREHOUSE, INC. <br />DATE: MAY 13,2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Redevelopment Agency is finding Hunt's Lane Sidewalk Improvements, which is part of the <br />Santa Ana River Project Area. In order to install the sidewalk improvements, negotiations were <br />conducted with the abutting property owner's to obtain the necessary street dedications. To benefit <br />from these improvements, Tod McDonald, property owner on the southwesterly comer of Steel Rd. <br />and Hunts Ln. (Assessor's Parcel No. 164-270-02) offered the necessary street dedications to the <br />City. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />The necessary street dedications consists of the following: <br />A triangular shape of dedication approximately 120 feet long, connecting at the westerly property <br />line, being 7' Aide at the this end and tapering to 0.00 feet at the east end. <br />The second street dedication is a 5 -foot strip along the Easterly property line and ending at the <br />southwesterly comer of the intersection of Steel Road and Hunts Lane, resulting in a comer cut off. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />The proposed public improvements are exempt under Section 15301 of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br />
