CITY OF COLTON Item #12 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Office of the City Manager <br />To: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council <br />From: Daryl Parrish, City Manager <br />Subject: Upcoming City Council Workshops <br />Date: August 20, 2002 <br />We have schedule8 a workshop for Monday, September 23, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. Staff <br />suggests that we discuss and agendize the following topics on that date: <br />• Update on Current and Recently Completed Capital Improvement Projects <br />• Long Range Financial Plan <br />• General Fund Reserve Policy — Impacts of Increasing Minimum Reserve <br />• Travel Policy <br />• Speed Humps <br />• Impacts of "Welfare to Work" on the Community <br />• Alley Rehabilitation Program <br />• CJUSD/City Issues (Follow-up from August 26, 2002 Meeting) <br />Additionally, I would like to discuss scheduling another workshop shortly after the first of <br />the year, preferably in January 2003. Primarily, I would like to suggest that the following <br />topics be discussed at that time: <br />• Council Goals /Vision for Budget Cycle 2003/04 and 2004/05 <br />• Capital Improvement Projects — Planning the Future and Recapping the Recent <br />Past <br />• Commission Structure/Bylaws/Appointment Process <br />• Strategic Business Ethics Workshop Follow-up: <br />Diversity Strategies/Cultural Sensitivity Training <br />• Park Facility Fees <br />If you have questions or would like to add something to the agenda of the September 23 d <br />meeting, or would like to discuss the proposed January meeting, please let me know. <br />
