10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-04-03 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING SECTION <br />2.18.010 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE <br />DUTIES OF THE ELECTRICAL UTILITY DIRECTOR <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Section 2.18.010 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended in its <br />entirety to read as follows: <br />"Section 2.18.010 Duties. <br />The electrical utility director of the city is authorized to negotiate <br />and execute, on behalf of the city, agreements with privately owned, <br />federally owned, state owned, and locally owned utilities and agencies <br />located in the states of Califomia, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, <br />Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico and Texas for <br />the purchase and sale of natural gas, economy energy, replacement <br />energy, replacement capacity and transmission service to deliver such <br />energy and natural gas to Colton or such other location as may be <br />appropriate without competitive bidding." <br />SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause <br />the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after adoption in a newspaper <br />of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, Califomia, and the Ordinance shall take effect <br />thirty (30) days after its enactment in accordance with the provisions of Califomia law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2003. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
