Exhibit A <br />FIRE <br />EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE BENEFITS <br />All uniformed safety personnel who have completed their one -,year probationary period with the <br />City of Colton Fire Department will be eligible to participate in the Education Incentive <br />Program. Monthly remuneration is as follows: <br />The city agrees to compensate for Educational Incentive Certificates (flat rate) as follows: <br />Such benefits shall be annualized and calculated on each regular paycheck (26 paychecks per <br />fiscal year). <br />MID -MANAGEMENT, GENERAL UNIT, CWA <br />RETIREE MEDICAL <br />1. Effective October 1, 2003, members who retire, with either a service or disability retirement, <br />from city employment may, at the retiree's discretion, continue enrollment in the city <br />provided health insurance plan of the employee's choice. Employees, who retire, shall be <br />eligible for city -paid medical insurance coverage until Medicare age. After the employee <br />reaches Medicare age, the employee can maintain health insurance with the city by paying <br />for his/her premium and any related spouse or dependent* premiums. If the retiree is <br />ineligible for Medicare benefits, the city will continue to pay the premiums, as long as the <br />employee remains insurable. The retired employee is responsible for any portion of the <br />health care premium (including any applicable spouse or dependent coverage) not covered by <br />this formula. At age 65, the retiree is responsible for coordinating the city provided health <br />care plan with Medicare. Participation in any health insurance plan is contingent upon the <br />health insurance carrier approving the enrollment of a retired employee and any applicable <br />spouse or dependents.
