Organized Labor and Local Governments agree to work together with other advocates to <br />lobby California State Government to protect local government services and revenues, <br />and jobs with fair wages and benefits. Together we recognize the importance of <br />maintaining local revenue streams to preserve and create good paying jobs and promote <br />economic growth while continuing to provide basic services and protect the quality of life <br />for our communities. As partners we will remain united to support issues of mutual <br />interest. <br />The Labor - Administrative Coalition has requested that the governing body of each <br />member of the coalition officially adopt the aforementioned Statement of Principle and <br />Mission Statement Language and include the number of residents (in the case of cities) <br />or the number of members (in the case of labor organizations) that each represents. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the "Statement of Principle and Mission Statement <br />Language" for the Labor - Administrative Coalition and the approval of the attached <br />Resolution. <br />Attachment - Resolution No. R-01-03 <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: Finance Director: <br />City Manager: OTHER: <br />
