RESOLUTION NO. R-55-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNUAL LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE COLTON LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003/2004 The City Council of the Ciry of Colton (hereafter referred to as the "City Council") does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, The City Council of the Ciry of Colton, California has, by previous Resolu[ions, formed the District known and designated as the Colton Landscape and Lighting Maincenance Assessment District No. 1(hereafter referred to as the "District") pursuant ro the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 of Division IS of the Streets and Higbways Code of Californiq beginning �itb Section 22500 (hereafrer referred [o as [he "Act"), that provides for levy and collection of assessments by the Counry of San Bernardino for the City of Colton to pay the maintenance and seroices of street lighting, landscaping, and all appurtenant facilities and operaxions related thereto; and, WHEREAS, the Ciry Council has re[ained MuniFinancial for [he purpose of assisting with the annual levy of the Districts, and to prepare and file a report with the Deputy Ci[y Clerk in acmrdance with the Act. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE DISTRICT, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby orders MuniFinancial to prepare [he Engineer's Report concerning the levy of assessments for the Distric[s in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 22622 of [he Aci. Section 2: The description of the District boundary and the Zones therein are oudined in the Engineer's Report and by reference is made part of this Resolution. The Distric[ consis[s of five (5) Benefit Zones. The Disuic[ is designated as "Colton Landscape and Ligh[ing Maintenance Assessment Dis[rict No. 1." Section 3: The improvemencs within che District include but are not limited to: turf, ground cover, shrubs, xrees, irrigation systems, ornamental lighting, entry monuments, drainage sys[ems, s[reet lighting, and associated appurtenances. The Engineer's Report describes all new improvements or substantial changes in existing improvements. Section 4: That the Cicy Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of chis Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolucions of said City; and shall make a minute of passage and adoption �hereof in the records of the proceedings of xhe City Council of said Cicy, in �he minutes of the meeting at which Resoluuon is passed and adopted.
