RESOLUTION NO. R-56-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA FOR <br />PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE COLTON <br />LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003/2004 <br />The Cicy Council of the Ciry of Colton, California (hereafrer referred co as che "City Council") does <br />resolve as follows: <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, California has, by previous Resolutions, <br />ordered the prepara[ion of the Fiscal Year 2003/2004 Engineer's Report for the Distric[ known and <br />designaced as the Colton Landscape and Lighting Maincenance Assessment Discrict No. 1(hereafter <br />referred to as the "District") pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Ligfiting Act of 7972, Part <br />2 of Divuion 15 of tbe Streets and Higbzrrays Code of California, beginning with Section 22500 (hereafter <br />referred to as che "Act"); and, <br />WHEREAS, t6ere has now been presented to this City Council the Engineer's Report as <br />required by Cbapter 1, Article 4, Section 22566 of said Act; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Ci[y Council has examined and reviewed the Engineer's Report as presented, <br />and is preliminarily sa[isfied with the Dis[rict, each and all of [he budget items and documencs as sec <br />fonh therein, and is satisfied that the assessments, have been spread in accordance with che special <br />benefits received from the improvements, operation, maintenance and services to be performed within <br />each Benefit Zone of the District, as set fonh in said Report. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE <br />CITY COUNCIL FOR THE DISTRICT, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: 'I'hat the above recitals are all true and correct. <br />Section 2: That the Engineer's Repart as presented, consists of the following: <br />a) A Description of Improvements (Plans & Specifications). <br />b) The Annual Budget (Costs and Expenses of Services, Operations and <br />Maintenance) <br />c) A Descripcion of the Method of Appartionment resulting in an Assessment <br />Rate per Levy Unit for each said District for Fiscal Year 2003/2004. <br />d) Discrict Assessment Diagrams showing the exterior boundaries of the <br />Assessment Disxrict and/or the Benefit Zones therein. <br />e) The 2003/2004 Assessment Collectio❑ Roll with the proposed assessment <br />apportioned to each lot or parcel. <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
