Item #15 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF July 1, 2003 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Ron Kenny, Director of Community Services 0 - <br />SUBJECT: <br />SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park & Band Shell, by the City of Colton Community <br />Services Department for our Annual Summer Concert Series to be held on <br />Sundays beginning July 20, 2003 to August 17, 2003 <br />DATE: June 19, 2003 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Colton's Community Services Department annually sponsors the Summer Concert Series. <br />Last year we held a total of 9 concerts, and this year we have cut the number of concerts to 5. The event <br />provides a safe and comfortable environment for the residents in our community as they enjoy various <br />types of music on those warm summer nights. <br />DISCUSSIONIANALYSIS: <br />Fleming Park is an ideal setting for this event. It is located in the center of town making it accessible for <br />all residents of our community. The event provides entertainment and a chance for people to meet their <br />friends and enjoy the evening together.
