CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF July 15, 2003 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: DARYL PARRISH, CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: AMER JAKHER, CITY ENGINEER <br />Item #10 <br />SUBJECT: Request for the Recruitment and Ratification of employee <br />appointment to the full-time position of Maintenance <br />Worker I, in the Public Services Department, Street <br />Division. <br />DATE: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />July 7. 2003 <br />There is one (1) Maintenance Worker I position that became vacant on June 5, 2003 due to the <br />incumbent's retirement. This position is assigned to our graffiti abatement crew. The salary <br />range is $2,291 to $2,786 per month. <br />ANALYSIS /DISCUSSION <br />This position became vacant due to the retirement of our Graffiti Abatement Technician. The <br />candidate being referred for Council ratification meets all requirements as specified in the job <br />description. The Fiscal Management Committee approved this position on April 8, 2003. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year 2003/2004 budget. This position is <br />funded as follows: Account No. 1000-6150-6160-1010 (Salaries -Miscellaneous) and Account <br />No. 100-6150-6160-1100 (Salary Related Benefits). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council ratify the employee appointment to the full-time position <br />of Maintenance Worker I in the Public Services Department, Street Division. <br />AR: ( l <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: • D1tk <br />City Manager:.
