R-46-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />RESCINDING ITS APPROVAL AND FUNDING OF THREE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) ELIGIBLE <br />PROJECTS AND REALLOCATING THE CDBG FUNDS TO A NEW <br />CDBG ELIGIBLE PROJECT FROM FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004 CITY <br />CDBG ENTITLEMENT FUNDS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that it <br />is in the best interest of the City and its residents to rescind the approval and <br />allocation of CDBG funds to three CDBG eligible projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to re -allocate <br />CDBG funds to one new CDBG eligible project that will provide for the <br />expansion of existing businesses that provide jobs and may provide additional <br />employment opportunities to low and moderate income residents. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City <br />of Colton rescinds the approval and allocation of CDBG funds to three CDBG <br />projects and approves and authorizes the re -allocation of CDBG funds in the <br />following manner: <br />Rescind Approval and Allocation from: <br />1. #29260, City of Colton — City Manager's $105,000 <br />Office/Historic Preservation Officer, "Residential <br />Historic Preservation Grant Program." <br />2. #29261, City of Colton — Park, Recreation & Family $130,000 <br />Services Department, "Rehabilitation of Child Care <br />Modular Unit, Cooley Ranch Elementary School." <br />3. #29264, City of Colton — Engineering Department, $217,600 <br />"North Colton Street Improvements: Census Tract <br />66 -Area Bounded by County Pocket, Pennsylvania <br />Ave, "C" St., & 1-10 Freeway." <br />1 <br />
