Item #4 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-05-03 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE BOARD OF <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' <br />RETIREMENT SYSTEM (Golden Handshake for Local Safety <br />Employees) <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. An amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of <br />Colton and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is <br />hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and <br />by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. <br />Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Colton is hereby authorized, empowered, and <br />directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said Agency. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect on June 05, 2003, thirty (30) days after the <br />date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from thepassage thereof <br />shall be published at least twice in "The Sun", a newspaper of general circulation, published <br />and circulated in the City of Colton, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full <br />force and effect. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2003. <br />DEIRDRE H.
