Item #7 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF December 7, 2004 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Bill Smith, Community Services Director' <br />i <br />SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park for Colton Chamber of Commerce Christmas <br />Activities on Saturday, December 11, 2004, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />DATE: November 16, 2004 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Colton Chamber of Commerce is planning its annual Christmas activities, scheduled <br />for Saturday, December 11, 2004. These activities include a Christmas Parade, <br />scheduled to proceed northbound on La Cadena Avenue, from "O" Street to "D" Street. <br />After the parade, there will be a Park Program scheduled for Fleming Park and its band <br />shell, and a Street Fair, scheduled to take place on "F Street, immediately south of the <br />park, between La Cadena Avenue and Seventh Street. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The park program will begin immediately following the parade, at approximately 11:00 <br />a.m. All events are scheduled to conclude by approximately 2:00 p.m., with clean-up to <br />proceed immediately thereafter. This has been an annual event in Colton, attended by <br />many City residents.
