Item #21 CITY OF COLTON AGENDA REPORT FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 7, 2004 TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER SUBJECT: FINAL ACCEPTANCE/NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CDBG CHILDCARE MODULAR PROJECT (RECHE CANYON ELEMENTARY AND WILSON ELEMENTARY) —MEADOWS CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, INC. DATE: NOVEMBER 24, 2004 BACKGROUND: On March 2, 2004, the City Council authorized the award of contract for construction of CDBG Child Care Modular Units Project to Meadows Construction Services, Inc. in the amount of $335,517. The project consisted of the installation of 2160 square foot modular buildings to be used for childcare services at Reche Canyon and Wilson Elementary School sites. The scope of work for the project includes the installation of 2160 square feet of manufactured modular building with restrooms for adults and children, kitchen, office room and stock room. Construction of concrete walkways and handicap ramps was also part of the construction construct. ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: The contractor has completed the work and satisfied all the requirements of contract terms and agreement. The project commenced on June 9, 2004 and was completed on September 15, 2004. The records indicate that this project was completed within the allowable working days.
