additional $80,079 remains to be absorbed by General Fund to allow the City staff to
provide the District with the same level of service. LLMD District No. 1 has been subsidized
through its reserve fund for over five years, as the reserve has now been depleted the City
would need to absorb the shortfall in order to continue to provide the same level of service.
Zone 2 will not need to deplete its reserve fund to cover its costs thus will still have an
available balance of $9,051. As Zone 8 will not need to take from its reserve fund its
balance will stay at $25,460; the total ending reserve fund balance held by District 1 is
$34,511.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST— Gift Disclosure Requirements
Not Applicable.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends:
Council adoption of the attached resolutions that would
1) Open the Public Hearing and accept testimony
2) Close the Public Hearing, accept the Final Engineer's Report and
3) Adopt the Resolution ordering the levy and collection of assessments for the City
of Colton 2004/2005 Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1.
2004.
Attachments — 2 Resolutions
Engineer's Report
Prepared by: Maritza Tapia, Administrative Analyst
TEAM ONLY
(,L Finance Director:
