Item #8 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 1, 2004 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: Anthony Arroyo, Administrative Analyst II � <br />FROM: Blanca Arambula, Administrative Analyst I� <br />SUBJECT: Approve and Adopt A Consolidated Salary Resolution <br />DATE: May 24, 2004 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Maintenance of the City's job table falls under the responsibility of the Human Resources Division. <br />The last consolidated salary resolution was approved by Council on July 17, 2001. In the interim, <br />the City has undergone extensive and continuous changes due to several factors including city- <br />wide reorganization occurring over the last two fiscal years. As a result, presenting a <br />comprehensive salary resolution incorporating the changes was continuously delayed. Given that <br />changes are still in process, it has been decided to present changes from July 1, 2001 through <br />June 1, 2004. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Over the last few years, Council has approved compensation adjustments for all employee <br />Associations/Unions, implemented salary adjustments resulting from the Dembrowsky study and <br />undergone city-wide reorganization. <br />The attached salary resolution consolidates all of the salary changes into one (1) comprehensive <br />salary resolution, with all salary ranges that are currenUy in effect. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The financial impact of the consolidated salary resolution were discussed and approved by City <br />Council as the changes occurred; adequate funds for the original decisions were budgeted in the <br />salary and benefit accounts of each affected department. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />None. <br />7/10/03 City Clerk's Oflice Cb <br />
