I know there is a way to get to the committee to read the summary, but I do not know the
direct address to do it. I can find out if you would like that instead. Let me know..
NAC
-----Original Message -----
From: Yvonne Hunter
Sent: Monday, May 24, 2004 3:22 PM
To: Nancy Cisneros
Subject: RE: SB 1397 (Escutia) Locomotive Emissions
Nancy
From what I've read and heard, this sounds like a reasonable bill (but of course, reason is in the eyes of the
beholder). We have a watch because it is a region specific bill. But, trains do put out a bunch of smoke and
pollution, so it would be reasonable to try to control it -- which is what I think this bill does. If the you need more
info, check out the legislative committee analysis on the website for the bill to get more details.
Feel free to share this email.
Yvonne
-----Original Message -----
From: Nancy Cisneros
Sent: Monday, May 24, 2004 3:18 PM
To: Yvonne Hunter
Subject: FW: SB 1397 (Escutia) Locomotive Emissions
Yvonne
Colton is being asked for a resolution and they see we are a watch position. I checked the LCC website to see if the League has
a position on this bill and noted that it was marked as "watch." Could you check with your legislative
analyst to see if additional information could be provided to help me determine if indeed I should
5/24/2004
