Amendment No. 2 SAR Construction Management Agreement
Page 2 of 3
reconstruction at the locations listed below and the cost estimate to complete the projects. The
redirected funding sources and cost savings are also depicted below:
Location Cost Estimate
Cooley Ranch Wood Street Subdivision $320,000
Cooley Drive from 1-215 to Cooley Lane $189,000
Old Ranch Road between Cooley Dr. and MountainView $ 80,000
Contingency $18,770
Total $607,770
Funding Source Redirected
Amount
Washington Street Median Improvements
$384,150
Reche Canyon Traffic Signal
$121,820
Street Signal Hunts Lane
$101.800
Total
607,770
Financial Impact
The Agency currently has approximately $607,770 of the $2.4 million in bond proceeds available to
fund programs and projects within the Santa Ana Project Area. The cost for each of the proposed
projects was prepared by the City Engineer and includes certain overhead costs including 15% for
design/engineering, 10% for administration, and 10% for contingencies and other incidentals and
should cover any unforeseen costs. Therefore, it is anticipated that the Agency will have sufficient
funds to complete all of the identified projects. Appropriating $607,770 of the $2.4 million for the
identified projects will consume all of the Agency's available bond funds in this Project Area.
Related Item
Also on this agenda, the City Council and Agency Board are considering a Resolution making
certain benefit findings pursuant to Section 33445 of the Health and Safety Code, which needs to
be approved in order to effectuate this Amendment No. 2.
Environmental Impact
The City is responsible for the performance of any required environmental review for the various
public improvement projects prior to their construction. Amending the Construction Management
Agreement will not result in any environmental impact.
Conflict of Interest — Gift Disclosure Requirements
N/A
Consistency with Redevelopment Implementation Plan
Section 3.4.5 of the Agency Implementation Plan states that the Agency is to construct public
improvements necessary to support private development by investing $2.4 million in projects which
were designated by the Citizens Advisory Committee.
